Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A fatal motorcycle crash occurred at the intersection of State Route 209 and Third Street in Deerpark. Upon arrival, first responders discovered a motorcycle lodged beneath a truck. The motorcyclist, identified as David Castner, of New Jersey, was pronounced dead at the hospital. State police are actively investigating the factors contributing to the crash.
Noah James McCagg, a resident of Port Jervis, faces a potential 10-year prison term after pleading guilty to the creation of untraceable firearms, often referred to as “ghost guns.” The Orange County District Attorney's Office disclosed that McCagg employed a 3D printer to manufacture firearms without serial numbers. Sentencing is scheduled for October.
Authorities in Middletown are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying a robbery suspect. The individual allegedly robbed the Walgreens on Dolson Avenue. The suspect demanded money from the cashier while simulating possession of a firearm by touching his waistband. After obtaining the money, the suspect fled the scene.
