Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A male body was found partially submerged in a drainage ditch in the Town of Warwick, police say. The discovery was made Tuesday at 12:45 p.m. on County Route 1 near Little Brooklyn Road. The male appeared to be in his mid-30s and may have worked in the area, police said. The Orange County District Attorney's Office and the Orange County Medical Examiner's Office is assisting police with its investigation into the death. Yonkers police say two people were injured in a moped accident on Monday. Police say it happened around 1 p.m. in the area of Warburton and Ashburton avenues. Both the moped driver and a pedestrian were taken to the hospital and are currently listed in stable condition.
Police say a preliminary investigation shows no evidence of criminality.
Police are looking for three men accused of stealing a car in Connecticut and driving away with it into New York. Greenwich police say on Christmas around 4 p.m., two men with hoodies went up to a man at CVS on West Putnam Avenue and demanded he hand over his car keys. He refused and a fight broke out. He was fighting off the attackers, but then a third man got out of a car, implied he had a weapon and told the man to stop fighting.He did and three suspects drove off in his car and another stolen car they already had. Greenwich Police tried to stop them on I-95, but they got away.
