State police say two people, including a 1-year-old boy, were
killed in a two-vehicle accident in the Village of Wappingers Falls Monday.
Police say 48-year-old Lorraine Baker, of Poughkeepsie, was heading southbound
on Route 9 and rear-ended another vehicle. Baker and 1-year-old Emilio Luis, of
Poughkeepsie, died of their injuries. Luis was a passenger in the second
vehicle. Three other people in the second vehicle sustained serious injuries.
Mount
Vernon City Hall will reopen its offices today being closed due to flooding
Tuesday. A city spokesperson says the flooding was caused by an aging boiler.
Scammers
in Ramapo probably should think twice about sending fake documents. The Ramapo
Police Department says it received a fax trying to dupe
them out of money. The department responded on Facebook saying: “Mr. Ernest Moganedi – 30% of $120-MILLION certainly sounds enticing
however -- we are NOT falling for it.”
