Hot and humid through midweek before showers arrive in Westchester

Hot and humid conditions are expected through midweek before an unsettled pattern brings rounds of showers and thunderstorms late Thursday through the weekend across the Westchester and Hudson Valley region.

Hot and humid conditions will continue through midweek with highs in the upper-80s to low-90s and heat index values in the mid-to-upper-90s. Dry weather is expected Tuesday and Wednesday under mostly sunny skies. An unsettled pattern moves in late Thursday with showers and thunderstorms likely Thursday night through the upcoming weekend. Highs will be in the 70s and 80s with continued humid conditions. Drier and cooler weather finally arrives early next week as high pressure builds in, with highs falling back into the 60s and 70s under mostly sunny skies.

WHAT'S NEW: Hot and humid conditions will linger around through the mid-week. Temps will feel into the low to mid-90s in several spots and into the mid to upper-80s by the Catskills.


WHAT'S NEXT: Unsettled weather moves in starting Thursday evening. It will hang around through the upcoming weekend where showers and storms will pop up.

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny and staying hot. Highs: upper-80s to low-90s. Lows: upper-60s to low-70s.


WEDNESDAY: Hot, humid, mostly sunny. It feels like temps in the mid-90s. Highs: upper-80s to low-90s. Lows: upper-60s to 70s.


THURSDAY: Mostly sunny to mostly cloudy skies with showers/storms towards the evening. Highs: mid-80s to low-90s. Lows: upper-60s to low-70s.


FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers and storms. Highs: upper-70s to mid 80s. Lows: upper-60s to low-70s.


SATURDAY: Scattered storms and not as hot. But still muggy. Highs: upper-70s to low-80s. Lows: mid to upper-60s.


SUNDAY: Scattered storms and not as hot. But still muggy. Highs: upper-70s to low-80s. Lows: mid-60s.
