Oscar Lemus, a 23-year-old resident of Haverstraw, appeared in federal court yesterday to face charges of sexual exploitation and enticement of a minor to engage in unlawful sexual activity.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says Lemus allegedly persuaded minors to engage in sexual activity during live chats, recorded the activity using a cellphone, and persuaded a minor to meet him in Rockland County for sexual activity.
Lemus is accused of committing these acts on three separate occasions.
The FBI is urging anyone who has had interactions with Lemus or parents whose children have had interactions with him to contact them immediately.
