Hasidic investors in South Blooming Grove are looking to develop 750 acres of open land.
The plot, along Clove Road, was purchased eight years ago and developers have now submitted plans to build residential and commercial buildings there, including hundreds of single-family and multifamily homes.
Keen Equities, who owns the land, has been in a dispute with the village for years about development, and neighbors News 12 spoke to say they are skeptical.
According to plans, the majority of units built would be single-family homes.
News 12's calls to South Blooming Grove Mayor Robert Jeroloman were not returned.
