Dozens of teenagers appeared before a judge Friday at Harrison Town Court to answer charges in connection to an underage booze bash.Police say a teenage girl decided to throw a party last week for 33 of her friends while her parents were out of town. The judge issued appearance tickets for the teens, many who were accompanied by their parents and lawyers. Some of the teenagers say they learned their lesson. Parents of some other teens denied their kids were involved.
Most of the teens are charged with possessing alcohol and acting in concert. A lawyer for four of the kids say the charge is difficult to prove. Police say they still do not know where the teens got the alcohol. Lawyers say most of the teens will probably have to pay a fine and do community service.
