At least one Hudson Valley resident was killed in the Stewart Air National Guard-based military plane crash in Mississippi on Monday.
Owen Lennon, who grew up in Ramapo, was one of 15 Marines who perished in the crash. One Navy Corpsman also perished in the crash.
The 16 service people were on the KC-130 plane, a transport unit nicknamed "The Yankees,"  that was carrying fuel, equipment and arms ammunition from North Carolina to California.
Many of the Marines on board were stationed at Stewart Air Base.  Most of the names of those killed have not yet been made public.
All of the bodies will be flown to Delaware. Then, those based in New York will be brought to Orange County.
