Shots were fired last night as swimmers were leaving the pool area at Sprain Ridge Park.
News 12 is told the shots were fired around 6 p.m.
Authorities arrived on the scene soon after and began detaining and interviewing several people.
Donna Nolan, of Yonkers, recalls people screaming and yelling in fear.
"The workers were telling everybody to get on the pool deck. People were just trampling over each other, mothers were just grabbing their kids,” says Nolan. “Thank God no one was hurt because this could have been a whole lot worse.”
The park was closed last night for an hour while the investigation took place, but reopened again with a small police presence.
Officials found that no one was injured, but the situation has left many shaken up.
