Police are searching for a gunman who shot two men before a fatal car crash in Mount Vernon.
A source tells News 12 that a third person was in the car and shot Allashun Clay, 27, of Manhattan, and his passenger, Kevin Shaw, 26, a former Concordia College basketball coach. The source says the third person shot the two men and jumped from the moving BMW convertible before it flipped over and crashed on East Third Street.
Police are awaiting more tests results, but a preliminary examination doesn't indicate whether the gunshots or the crash killed the men. The deaths are now being investigated as a double homicide.
Pierre Rene, of Mount Vernon, says he was with the two at a Mount Vernon strip club in the hours before they died.
No motive for the shootings has been released. No arrests have been made
