Nicholas Edwards-Ambos, 27, of Croton, entered a guilty plea for leaving the scene of a fatal accident last summer, according to the Westchester District Attorney's office.
The incident claimed the life of 34-year-old Richard Lent, of Peekskill, who was killed when his motorcycle was struck by a car on Route 9 near Senasqua Road.
Edwards-Ambos, a village firefighter who was off-duty at the time of the accident, was arrested two days later. Although he was not charged in connection with the accident itself, he now faces five years of probation upon sentencing in September.
Edwards-Ambos has since parted ways with the fire department.
