Some Memorial Day parades and events are planned across the tri-state area after being canceled last year due to COVID-19. Here is a list of some parades and events. 

This even has been postponed due to the forecasted wind and rain.  The rescheduled event will be held on Labor Day weekend, Saturday, Sept. 4.     

Location: Hempstead Beach Park

Time: 9:30 a.m.

Location: Parade quicks off from American Legion Hall

Time: 10 a.m.

Location/Route: The parade will begin on Front Street in Massapequa Park

Time: 10:30 a.m.

Location/Route: Post Members and Auxiliary members will meet at Merrick Veteran Memorial Park at 10 a.m. for a 10:30 a.m. ceremony.

Time: 11 a.m.

Location: Mineola Memorial Park

Time: 10:30 am

Location/Route: Township Hall, 124 Cedar Drive and concludes at Memorial Park, 242 Heyers Mill Road.

Time: 10 a.m.

Location/Route: The parade begins at the corner of Brinkerhoff Avenue and Main Street and walks down Main Street to the center of town. Units will then take the left fork onto Broadway and then turn left onto Murray Street. The parade will continue down Murray and take a left onto Schanck Street before turning right onto Monument Street and ending in the parking lot of the Monmouth County Courthouse.

Location/Route: Starts at Sherman Avenue & Baldwin Street

Time: 12 p.m.

Location: Borough Hall

Time: 10:30 a.m.

Location: Starting at Sheridan and Ardmore Avenues and concluding at the War Memorial on East Franklin Turnpike for a Remembrance Ceremony conducted by the V.F.W. Washington Post 192.

Time: 11:30-1 p.m.

Time: 10 a.m.

Location: Behind 25 DeForest Avenue

Wyckoff Memorial Day Parade

Time: 11:30 a.m.

Location/Route: The parade will proceed starting from Wyckoff Reformed Church heading north along Wyckoff Avenue, turning right onto Main Street, then turning right onto Franklin Avenue and ending at Town Hall.

Parade canceled due to the weather. Ceremony still taking place at 10:30 a.m. inside High Plains Community Center.

Sunday's event in Stamford is postponed due to weather. A new date and time will be announced. 

The Bantam Memorial Day Parade for Sunday is canceled due to weather.

Organizers say there will be a short ceremony at the Borough Hall at 1 p.m. with no hot dogs or ice cream.

Location/Route: The parade will step off from Goodwives Shopping Center on Old Kings Highway North at 10 A.M., proceeding up Brookside Road and turning left onto Post Road. The parade will proceed westbound on Post Road and end in the area of Spring Grove Cemetery.

Time: 9 a.m.

Location: Howe Avenue at the Intersection of Route 8 in Shelton. Ends at Cottage and Elizabeth Streets in Derby.

Time: 10 a.m.

Location: The line of march will run East from South Pine Creek Road along the Post Road to the Library, then South along Old Post Road to Flint's Corner, and then East along Old Post Road passing the Town Green and continuing beyond South Benson Road.

Time: 10 a.m.

Location: Begins at Veterans Park and ends at the Town Green on East Avenue.
