The African Alliance took to the streets of the Grand Concourse Saturday to send a message that there is nothing Bronx residents need to fear when it comes to Ebola.
The group is also looking to raise money to fight the disease and do anything it can to make sure it never becomes a problem on American soil.
Many who marched are from Africa and say they have been unfairly associated with the virus. African Alliance leaders say awkward stares and ignorant comments are not what the Bronx is about.
The supporters understand that Ebola is deadly and must be taken seriously, but say it should not be taken out of context.
