One organization is making sure senior citizens living by themselves are not isolated this winter.
The nonprofit social service agency DOROT prepared nearly 600 packages filled with food and items for Westchester senior citizens who are living by themselves.
Officials say when volunteers deliver the packages, they'll also spend time with the seniors to help brighten their day and make them feel less alone.
More than 60 senior citizens will be receiving a package and visit from a DOROT volunteer.
