Three Greenburgh teenagers were arraigned Monday after they were arrested and charged in a knifepoint attack on a fellow student at Woodlands High School.

Police say Louise Defense was beaten, threatened with a knife and then robbed at the high school last Thursday. Defense was treated at White Plains Hospital Center for cuts and bruises to his head and face.

Keisha Brown, the victim's mother, says the staff at Woodlands High School was negligent in protecting her son from the alleged attack. She says when she arrived at the school Friday, no one rushed to help her, and one school official even blamed her son for not coming forward.

Brown says the attack on her son last Thursday was not an isolated incident, but rather a culmination of a two-week harassment.

Responding to Brown's accusations, the Greenburgh Central School District released a statement, saying "the superintendent of schools met with the student's family on Tuesday afternoon, and the district is working to address the concerns."

Michael Tucker and Andrew Grant, both 18, and 17-year-old Brendon Martin, were charged with felony first-degree robbery and could face more charges in the incident.
