There are new efforts to keep radioactive wastewater out of the Hudson River.
The Greenburgh Town Board unanimously approved a resolution urging the state to make it unlawful for the company decommissioning the Indian Point nuclear power plant to dump one million gallons of radioactive wastewater.
Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner says the dumping comes with significant health, safety, and economic risks.
He hopes all communities in the state approve similar restrictions
