Greenburgh mourns sudden loss of veteran police detective

The Greenburgh Police Department is grieving the sudden passing of Detective Richard Cunningham, a 35-year veteran of the force.

Cunningham, 60, was a respected investigator who worked on serious crimes.

He is survived by three children and will be remembered for his love of cooking and gardening.

Services will be held Thursday at McHoul Funeral Home and Friday at St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction

Memorial donations may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in Detective Cunningham's name.
