Greenburgh day care destroyed by Hurricane Ida aims to be up-and-running in Sept.
A Greenburgh day care that was destroyed during Hurricane Ida is now on its way to reopening.
The day care that heavily catered to the Ukrainian community, rented space from The First Unitarian Society.
When Ida hit, the church realized it would not be able to maintain it, so it sold to the day care Steppe Education.
They officially received the go-ahead from the Greenburgh Town Board this week.
Steppe Education aims to have the building and program up and running by September.
The First Unitarian Society is currently renting space in Dobbs Ferry from South Presbyterian Church, and will have to vote on their next moves.
