Gov. Kathy Hochul announced a new child care pilot program during a visit to Dutchess County, outlining plans for expanded access across New York.
Hochul said Dutchess, Monroe and Broome counties will each receive $20 million to launch the program.
The governor spoke about child care at length during her State of the State address Tuesday, calling for universal child care by the 2028–2029 school year.
