A Scarsdale couple managed to cook up the perfect marketing plan during their monthslong coronavirus lockdown.
Ian and Margaret Wishingrad are the owners of a new healthy cereal line called Three Wishes.
It took two years of taste-testing, a ton of pea protein and tireless research, but the young Scarsdale couple cooked up the perfect batch in early 2019.
They sent their creation to the store shelves only a few short months before the coronavirus struck.
For weeks, the pandemic brought their newly budding business to a standstill - until Ian Wishingrad, a former advertising executive, concocted a "golden plan."
He got three of the original stars of "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" to help promote the cocoa-flavored cereal.
The now viral videos are just one way the savvy entrepreneurs are adapting to the fast-changing times, with a determination to stay open.
