Many people are making financial resolutions for the start of 2016. News 12 financial expert Jordan Goodman has some tips to get you going.
Goodman suggests to do a budget of income/expenses. Write down how much income you have coming in, how much your expenses are going to be and if it's out of balance, figure out how to fix it.
Get your debt under control - go to lower interest credit cards or go to a credit counselor. Next, monitor your credit report/score since there may be errors in your credit score.
Goodman also suggests signing up for health insurance since now is open enrollment. And lastly, set up an automatic investment plan - if you don't invest yourself, nobody is going to do it for you.
