It's getaway day for residents who are traveling to spend the holidays with family, and in typical Hudson Valley fashion, traffic was a source of lots of aggravation for drivers. Post Road in New Rochelle was backed up for miles this afternoon as motorists made their way at a snail's pace to their holiday destinations. About 92 million people will travel 50 miles or more between today and Jan. 2, an increase of 1.4 percent compared to last year, according to AAA. Drivers are advised to give themselves extra time and to pack some patience along with all their presents and luggage.
