A gas leak lead to an explosion in the basement of a Chappaqua home Tuesday night.
The windows were blown out of the house on Spring Lane near Quaker Road. Fire officials say a propane gas leak found an ignition point and caused the explosion. The home is under construction and the owners are out of town.
A dog sitter and two dogs were home at the time of the explosion. The dog sitter was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital for minor cuts on her feet from the broken windows. The two dogs were uninjured.
