Funeral services are now set for the star athlete who was gunned down in Dutchess County last week.
A funeral service will be held tomorrow at Beth-El Church of God in Christ in Poughkeepsie for Caval Haylett.
The 18-year-old was shot and killed on Winnikee Avenue Wednesday. The popular high school basketball star had just finished his final game as a senior. "He came over here to show us his trophy, to show us he got a trophy, not to lose his life, man," says a friend named Chevez.
Another student was also shot, but is expected to be OK. Officials say the teens were not the intended targets.
There have been no arrests in the case so far.
