Friends and family said a tearful goodbye Sunday to a man who was killed at the hands of an alleged drunken driver.
Cartolino Ramirez was only 32 years old when he was fatally struck last week in Orange County.
Ramirez was trying to get a cab after a night out in Middletown when he was allegedly struck from behind by Fredy Quizhpe. Police say Quizhpe ran him over three times, dragged his body and then fled the scene.
Police arrested Quizhpe after a pursuit. He is being charged with vehicular manslaughter.
The body of Ramirez will be sent to Guatemala so his father can see his son be buried.
