Four Larchmont restaurants have plans to go green starting next week.
Turquoise, La Taqueria, The Grange and Apiary will all steer clear of single-use plastic items.
It's part of a pilot project three Mamaroneck High School students came up with. The students conducted research, collected data and made their pitch to 15 restaurants.
"Some restaurants are using, now paper cups or PLA cutlery, so utensils that can be compostable," says Mamaroneck High School junior Katie Loga. "A lot of paper products, mostly for soup containers and paper straws as well."
Each participating restaurant will also have surveys for customers to take. That information will go toward their data and findings.
