The community of Fort Montgomery had a water main break fixed following damage due to storm-related water in the area.

Town of Highland Falls Supervisor Bob Livsey told News 12 that crews fixed the break all morning and part of the afternoon.

Due to the break, there isn't safe water to drink for residents.

Livsey adds water in Fort Mongomery comes from one village main damaged in the storm. He says once water is back in your house, don't drink it as it still won’t be safe.

Officials are saying to boil the water before using it until you hear otherwise from town representatives.
