Siamak Namazi, who once lived in Westchester County, was joined with family and friends on U.S. soil early this morning.

Namazi was wrongfully detained in Iran after getting arrested there back in 2015 on spying charges.

Iranian American environmentalist Morad Tahbaz, hailing from Weston, Connecticut, was also among those arrested and charged with spying.

Iran released the five prisoners as part of a deal negotiated with the White House.
