Five former residents of the Children's Village in Dobbs Ferry have come forward with serious allegations, accusing staff members of committing "violent acts of sexual abuse."

The allegations are part of a lawsuit filed in New York state Supreme Court, which joins six other pending lawsuits against the facility.

Children's Village operates residential treatment facilities for at-risk youth in foster care.

A spokesman for Children's Village says they are aware of the litigation and are reviewing the documents.
