A former New Rochelle teacher accused of threatening the superintendent returned to Westchester Thursday after being found in Louisiana.
The New Rochelle Police Department says Samuel McVey was stopped by officers in Baton Rouge on April 24 and arrested on an extraditable warrant for criminal contempt.
The warrant was issued due to the 47-year-old Briarcliff Manor resident missing a court appearance related to the threat allegations.
McVey was originally charged with aggravated harassment after police discovered multiple YouTube videos in which he threatened to show up at board members' houses with a "bozooka" if they did not step down. He later said "I'm just kidding."
In another clip, he said, "I'm talking to you board members, I know who you are," and "I know where you live."
McVey was arraigned, and a temporary order of protection was issued, preventing him from going near the superintendent and Board of Education buildings, including all New Rochelle schools.
