New Rochelle police say they've arrested 46-year-old Samuel McVey, of Briarcliff Manor, for threatening the school district's superintendent and Board of Education.

On Tuesday, police located and arrested McVey. He's charged with aggravated harassment.

On McVey's public YouTube channel, he posted a series of videos where he threatened to show up at board members' houses with a "bozooka" if they did not step down. McVey followed that up with a "I'm just kidding."

News 12 was able to get in contact with McVey to ask about his arrest and these allegations.

"I never threatened the school superintendent, Dr. Corey Reynolds. In fact, I've never met him in my entire life," said McVey. "Regarding the board of education members, I don't know any board of education members."

The investigation into McVey began several weeks ago when New Rochelle's schools superintendent said someone issued a threat against the district. Police say McVey made two more threats on Tuesday and Wednesday against the superintendent and the school board.

Those threats prompted extra police presence across the district.

McVey was arraigned, and a temporary order of protection was issued, preventing McVey from going near the superintendent and any board of education buildings, including all New Rochelle schools.

According to the district, all classes and activities within the school will continue to operate as usual.

McVey pleaded not guilty. He is set to be back in court in April.
