Gillibrand, has decided to run for Sen. Alessandra Biaggi's 34th District
state Senate seat.
Hofflich, a mother of five, is a first-generation
American who came to the U.S. from Vietnam when she was 3 years old.
She will be one of two Asian-American women
running for state Senate.
Biaggi is running for the recently redrawn 3rd Congressional
District to fill the seat being vacated by Rep. Tom Suozzi.
