Former Armonk Fire Chief Luci Labriola-Cuffe is the first woman to be appointed deputy state fire administrator.
In her new role, she will work to grow and strengthen the Office of Fire Prevention and Control's fire training and education branch.
Labriola-Cuffe began her career with the Armonk Fire Department.
There she served in multiple roles, including as an EMS captain, fire patrol captain, second lieutenant, first lieutenant, captain and chief.
