A potentially dangerous situation was averted on Wednesday in which flammable gas was leaking for hours in Orangeburg.
Authorities say a forklift hit and ruptured a 500-gallon propane tank at Beckerle Lumber.
Multiple fire departments were called in.
Crews had to shut down a portion of Route 303 between Route 340 and the Palisades Parkway to let all of the gas leak out from the tank.
There have been no reports of any injuries.
