Today is Groundhog Day, and while many people will turn to furry critters like Punxsutawney Phil to help let us know if spring is right around the corner, here in the Hudson Valley we turn to a chicken - Cluxatawney Henrietta of Muscoot Farms.
The salmon Faverolles chicken has been predicting the weather at Muscoot Farm for five years.
The way it usually works is that if a groundhog sees it's shadow today, that means there's six more weeks of winter.
However, in Katonah, if Cluxatawney Henrietta lays an egg, that means we'll have an early spring.
Henrietta did in fact lay an egg - predicting spring is on its way!
