Flames reignited for a second time Tuesday after an initial fire Monday gutted a Mount Vernon Church.
The fire first began Monday morning in the rear of the Faith Temple Worship Center at 204 South Fulton Ave. The massive blaze rekindled, destroying half a block and sending 13 firefighters to the hospital.
In total, four businesses, a home and the church were lost.
Five people are displaced as a result of the fire.
Investigators are working to determine how the fire started.
