A man is recovering after shooting himself in the hand Friday morning.
Fishkill police responded to a 911 call of a male with a gunshot wound at 2:45 a.m. Friday.
Police determined the 26-year-old man illegally possessed the gun, which was fired twice during a domestic dispute, before he tried to hide the gun.
The man was taken to a hospital for medical care, pending arraignment.
The 26-year-old faces multiple charges, including reckless endangerment.
