First responders execute high angle rescue to save injured construction worker

The Port Chester Fire Department responded to the former United Hospital property where they found a worker with a leg injury on the sixth floor.

A construction worker is recovering this morning after being rescued from a demolition site.
The Port Chester Fire Department responded to the former United Hospital property where they found a worker with a leg injury on the sixth floor. First responders worked to safely bring the worker down to the ground.
The worker was then transported to a nearby hospital. The extent of the injuries is unknown at this time.
The incident is still under investigation.
