It's a cold Valentine's Day for people in Westchester County.Residents woke up to a wintry mix of snow, sleet and ice Wednesday. The storm created icy roads and forced more than 100 schools to close for the day.Crews were ready for the storm and were out Tuesday to place a salt-brine mixture on the roads to help stop the snow and ice from bonding to the surface. Highway department officials say the fact that the storm is expected to be a long one will make it more difficult to deal with.Drivers are being urged not to drive if they don't have to. For those that do have to drive, they are told to drive slowly and to be sure to allow extra time to get to their destinations.Metro-North trains were on track despite the icy conditions.
