Hundreds spent their Fourth of July at the annual Dobbs Ferry waterfront firework show, picnicking and enjoying the beautiful weather.
Leading up to the big show, there were bouncy castles, bubbles, music, food and animals.
People were encouraged to bring their own food, but food trucks were set up in the area.
The fireworks show began shortly after 9 p.m.
While the event provided for lots of fun activity, one attendee wanted to remind others about the real meaning behind the Fourth of July.
"Be thankful for what we have, to have people fighting for our freedom," said Joe Rooney. "You know, people take it for granted."
News 12 is told this event has been going on for nearly 40 years, and attendance continues to grow every year.
