Thiells firefighters are being hailed for their efforts to save a dog and cat from a fire on Sunday.
Officials say the blaze broke out around 11 p.m. at a home on Anderson Road in Pomona.
After securing the safety of the homeowners, firefighters used a pet CPR mask to revive a cat, and the homeowner was able to rescue the family dog.
Unfortunately, two other cats did not survive.
The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
