A fire broke out inside a single-family home on Park Hill Avenue Saturday afternoon, shutting down the street.
According to fire officials, the blaze started at 408 Park Hill Ave. at around 1 p.m., just 20 minutes after the family that lives there went out. No one was hurt in the fire.
Yonkers Fire Chief Jeff Michalak says the firefighters who responded to the 911 call were able to put out the intense flames that gutted the house in 15 minutes.
Fire investigators expect to determine the cause of the blaze Sunday.
