Fire officials: Person injured after they jumped out of a window during Wilton fire

Firefighters received a call for an odor of smoke and a trapped resident. They found fire and smoke on the first floor of the two-story unit.

The Wilton Fire Department says one person was hospitalized after they jumped out of a second-story window during a fire Sunday.
It happened around 4:30 a.m. at the Wilton Crest condominium complex.
Firefighters received a call for an odor of smoke and a trapped resident. They found fire and smoke on the first floor of the two-story unit.
One person was rescued from the back side of the building by police after they jumped from the second-floor window, according to authorities.
No one else was inside. The fire was contained to the one unit.
