A late-night fire tore through a condominium complex in Newburgh, destroying multiple units.
Middle Hope fire officials say crews were called to the Parr Valley East Condominiums on McIntosh Place just before midnight. The fire quickly spread through the building, damaging several units.
Officials confirmed that eight condo units were destroyed as crews worked to bring the fire under control.
Neighbors described a chaotic scene as flames spread and people rushed outside. One neighbor, AJ Solomon, told News 12, “It was really bad. I heard someone screaming. They called 911 while people were yelling, and I think they lost their cats — but hopefully everyone’s OK.”
Officials have not yet released information on the cause of the fire or whether anyone was injured.
