Hundreds turned out in Mount Vernon Wednesday for a final salute to the Westchester district attorney investigator who died mysteriously Sunday.
Firefighters, police officers, family and friends lined the streets to pay tribute to 38-year-old Stuart Cohen. He fell ill in December after a drug bust in Hartsdale and was in a coma until his death on Easter.
Doctors were not able to determine what caused Cohen's illness. One theory is that the drugs recovered in the bust were contaminated.
Cohen was described as a loving husband and father and a devoted law enforcement officer. He leaves behind a wife and two young daughters. His death is considered to be in the line of duty.
