A local filmmaker is getting ready to let the world know about events that have rocked one school district in Rockland.
Kevin Lopez, an East Ramapo native and co-founder of LPZ media, is working on a film called "The Hudson Tribes."
The film looks into the many issues that have taken place throughout the embattled East Ramapo School District.
Lopez hopes the film will bring some change to the community. "Our objective, our goal, is to help bring this community together rather than further dividing it. We hope that the film spurts or ignites some conversations that are very important in order for these communities to work harmoniously or cohesively in order to bring positive change for all the kids that are being affected in this town," says the filmmaker.
Lopez says he and his team are still working on getting the word out about the film. They hope to submit it this summer to some of the world's most premier film festivals.
