Divers from the FBI and Yonkers Police Department spent the day scouring the Hudson River.

The divers were seen swimming back and forth near the Yonkers Recreational Pier since early Monday morning.

Yonkers police and the FBI won't discuss the details of their underwater search of the recreational pier, but sources tell News 12 the divers are looking for a gun, a possible piece of evidence linked to another investigation.

A police spokesman says the divers are expected to be back in the water tomorrow morning.
