Hundreds of fast-food workers headed to Albany Tuesday in a fight for higher pay.
Low-wage workers and advocates say they hope to convince lawmakers to raise the minimum wage from $8 an hour to $10.10.
Supporters also want the state to allow New York City and other communities to raise it as high as $13.13, and make future increases automatic based on inflation.
Several other states, including California, Connecticut and Massachusetts, have recently approved minimum wage hikes to $10 or more.
This legislative session comes to a close on Thursday.
