Local farmers in Orange County joined lawmakers to donate Christmas trees to troops overseas.
Dozens of Air National Guard members from the 105th Airlift Wing loaded up trucks with about 250 trees earlier today at Stewart Air National Guard Base in New Windsor.
It is part of a program called Trees For Troops.
This year, donations were given to Farmside Acres in Cornwall to help provide Christmas trees for active duty soldiers, veterans and their families.
FedEx is taking the trees to Stewart Air National Guard Base, as well as several other bases along the East Coast.
