A young man who was shot and killed Monday in Yonkers is being remembered as a good person who cared about others.

Police have not released the victim's identity but his mom says his name was Daquan. She said he went by "Drizzy Woo."

The shooting happened around 5 p.m. off of Ashburton Avenue in the Doyle Park area.

Police have released few details since that shooting. A possible motive is not yet known, but officers say there is no threat to the public.

People who say they were close to the victim tell News 12 he was a funny and loving person.

"We all have good memories, it's going to hurt. I knew his mom for 13 or more years. I was just joking with Daquan, it's just hard," says a close family friend.

A second man was also shot at the same time and place Monday evening. At last check, he was listed in stable condition. His age and identity have not been released.

There's no word on how many suspects were involved or if any arrests have been made.

If anyone has any information about the incident, they are urged to call the Yonkers Police Department.
